MULTIMEDIA CONTEST – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

SIGN is a European funded project which aims to increase the perception, in young consumers, of the intellectual property rights value as engine of social and economic progress for the entire community.

RULES OF THE CONTEST

The contest is open to all people (amateurs or professional from 15 to 24 years old) who are domiciled or resident in a UE member State involved in the project (ch. ORGANIZERS). The participants must sign up to the website www.project-sign.eu and then they can publish in the multimedia gallery a sensitization original product about the value of intellectual property. Website visitors can view all contents and then they can vote their favourite one. The most voted works will be evaluated by an internal project committee, which will award the prizes to the first three best works (ch. PRIZES). In addition, participants must answer the 3 simple question of the on-line survey (which is essential for participating in the contest), review all information given in the website and accept the participation contest rules. The online survey will provide to the participants self-awareness about their own idea of intellectual property rights.

Participation is free. Participants must not be employee, officer or agent of any person or organisation involved in the running of the competition and they must not be a family relation of any such person.

Minors can participate only with parental consent (or with approval of a person exercising permanent or temporary parental authority or legal guardianship). All the works must be uploaded within the expiration participation date. Only one work for each participant is admitted.

CATEGORIES

Participants should upload jpg works (max 1,5mb – min 1600 pixel short edge) colour or black and white.

Each creator is personally responsible for his work and organizers are free from every responsibility.

Participants warrant that the content does not infringe third party rights. The author therefore assures that he/she has obtained the necessary authorization for images depicting people and things for which specific consent is required. Creators warrant that our use of the contents in accordance with these rules will not infringe any person’s intellectual property rights or other legal rights.

Photos, drawings, graphics and illustrations must be original and must have one of the following subjects:

  • Intellectual property rights
  • The economic and social relevance of its protection
  • How to recognise legal sources of digital contents
  • The risk of counterfeiting and piracy

Every content must be approved by the website administrator. The participant will be notified by e-mail about the approval and about the publication on the website.

The deadline for acceptance of the images sent online is 06/05/2022.

All images will be published on the website www.project-sign.eu

VIDEO

Only original video created by the participants and uploaded on a platform (Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion) are admitted. The participants must publish in the multimedia gallery the link to their video. The video must have one of the following subjects:

  • Intellectual property rights
  • The economic and social relevance of its protection
  • How to recognise legal sources of digital contents
  • The risk of counterfeiting and piracy

RIGHTS

Creators own all rights about these images and they grant to the project partners (Federconsumatori APS, ECU, EEKE, ALACR, CONSUMUR, InfoCons Association, CEIP, TALENTED BORDERS and Saugok Save) the right of free use and publishing rights of their product/contents in the framework of SIGN project (website and official project pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). These rights are non-transferable and organizers must mention the creator.

Every brand mentioned belongs to its legal owner. Brands, products names, trade names, commercial name and companies mentioned have been used as examples, so no breach of copyright would be committed.

ON-LINE VOTE

Website visitors can vote their favourite content from 16/04/2022 to 15/05/2022. Each visitor can vote once every 12 hours (IP address of single users will be locked). Everyone who will be involved in any attempt to distort/influence the competition will be excluded from the contest.

PRIZES

The contest’s winners will be invited to participate to the final project event and they will be awarded prizes: each winner will win an Iphone 13 and the trip the final conference (roud-trip ticket to Alicante and accommodation for 2 people). Organizers reserve the right to indicate contents would seem particularly worthy of attention.

Winners will be notified by e-mail. The final project event will take place in Alicante (exact date will be decided)

PRIVACY

The provision of personal data by the creators is required. These data will be processed in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (G.D.P.R.). The data controller is Federconsumatori APS.

FINAL PROVISIONS

This contest will be governed by these standard terms and conditions. Each participant agrees that he/she has read and understood these terms and by their participation in the contest, each participant agrees to be bound by the terms.
